In keeping with this, Le Passage Mohkan Shan is delighted to announce the arrival of Executive Head Chef, Meng Chen. Internationally known as Jackie Chen, he is set to be the newest star on China’s increasingly competitive gastronomy scene. Jackie is a rare find: a Shanghai native born and bred who studied and trained at some of the world’s most prestigious hotels including the acclaimed Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London, where he was the No. 2 Chef. He has an eye for detail, an incredible palate that understands both French and Chinese cuisine and is renowned for impeccable service standards having served Heads of State and British Royalty. In his capacity as Executive Head Chef, Jackie will be overseeing all areas of the kitchens and restaurants at Le Passage, and aims to turn the Armand David into a Michelin star restaurant.
